Delivery Driver

The position consists of delivering and picking up packages with the highest level of customer service and accuracy is the key to your success. As a delivery driver, you will be loading/unloading packages into the vehicles as required, lifting up to 50lbs (23Kg), delivering packages to customers’ homes, businesses, and apartment buildings. This is a fast-paced position that requires individuals to work at a quick pace while still being organized, accurate, and safe. RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver packages in a timely and efficient manner Attention to detail and ability to multitask Excellent customer service skills Comfortable using a smartphone Comfortable sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time, including climbing stairs Comfortable getting in and out of a van multiple times a day Self-motivated, responsible and punctual Effective communication skills with our customers and operational team REQUIREMENTS: MUST have a valid Class 5 driver license (No N / L) Ability to drive a cargo van Ability to lift up to 50lbs (23Kg) Ability to drive in traffic Clean driver abstract (Driving Record) Must pass a criminal background check Available to start work immediately EXPERIENCE: Efficient time management Great knowledge of the Nanaimo Area Ability to follow the direction of Supervisor / Dispatcher Capable of working under time constraints to get packages delivered to customers on time Positive attitude, good communication skills, great customer service, and ability to work well in a team environment Previous courier or delivery driver experience with Skip the Dishes, UPS, FedEx etc. is an asset
