Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic who can work safely and efficiently while performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting breakdowns and repairs. As a Heavy-Duty Mechanic, you would: Perform duties that range from routine preventative maintenance to repairing major breakdowns, including troubleshooting and diagnostics on electric and electronic issues Disassemble and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems, brakes, clutches, differentials, hydraulics, electrical systems and lubrication systems Diagnose, maintain and repair mobile machinery and equipment including highway trucks, haul trucks, graders, bulldozers, excavators, shovels, loaders, and other heavy equipment Fabricate and weld parts when required Record and maintain accurate work orders Diagnose and repair air systems Perform work in accordance with Milner Group’s safety procedures Maintain a clean and orderly work environment Be self motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated self-starter and have the following qualifications: Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification or: Experienced 4th year Heavy Duty Mechanic may be considered Welding Ticket and/or experience is considered an asset Ability to supply your own set of tools Previous Experience in Heavy Civil Equipment & Commercial Trucking/Trailer Industries Class 5 Drivers License Class 1 or 3 with air ticket is considered an asset Milner Group offers compensation above industry average and a comprehensive benefit plan.
