The Role: As an IT Enterprise Architect/ Solutions Architect at CLBC, you will provide the leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks required for the development of an enterprise's technical and infrastructure architecture and solutions. You will create deliverables that help develop target-state guidance (standards, guidelines, individual parts, platforms and configurations) for evolving the technology and solutions landscape across the enterprise to enable business strategy and deliver targeted business outcomes. You will also enable and orchestrate the delivery of targeted business outcomes through facilitating and making technical decisions. Responsibilities include: * Works with Enterprise Architect (EA) peers (e.g. business, data, application, cloud, and security architects) to analyze enterprise business context (business strategy and trends), as well as change requirements in other enterprise architecture viewpoints (such as business, information) to derive the future-state technology architecture * Coaching, mentoring and collaborating with technical subject matter experts and EA peers to develop technology architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities and operating models * Assists with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise technology architecture compliance of projects and products. * Oversees and facilitates the research, evaluation, and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations. * Identifies the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures and culture) and financial impact of the enterprise technology architecture. * Translates business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work * Works closely with the product owners and product managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle * Manages and develops the architecture for a broader scope of projects or products, working closely with application architects that manage and design architecture for a single project or product or initiativeThis role requires: * The ability to build trust and respect as a thought leader who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders, and the ability to push back professionally and diplomatically * Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics. * Mastery of all components of enterprise architecture, business & IT principles and processes * Understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management. Additional Info:Team: Business ArchitectureTerm/Status: Regular/Full timeClassification/Salary: IS R30: position starts at $88,152 annually, plus a 9.9% market adjustment paid bi-weekly. You will also receive an annual $2,000 retention incentive. This position is under exclusion review.
