Camp Handyman / Caretaker

Camp Handyman / Caretaker We are looking for an energetic, team player to join our camp maintenance team. This will require an individual who is comfortable living and working in a remote camp location for 21 day shifts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Welcoming of crews and visitors including safely assisting their arrival by plane or boat - Assisting in the unloading of camp supplies - Maintaining power supply systems (Turbine & generator) - Operating an excavator, brush cutter, and small power tools - Yard Maintenance and landscaping - Daily upkeep of camp including garbage removal and disposal Qualifications - General knowledge / understanding of remote camp operations - Basic plumbing and electrical skills - Mentally & physically fit and able to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs - Comfortable with working alone, as well with others, under minimal supervision - Good time management and prioritizing skills - Enjoy the beautiful British Columbia wilderness and all the elements including weather and wildlife - The ability to adhere to company's drug and alcohol policy Your accommodations and all meals are provided. Travel in and out of camp is provided, marshalling from Campbell River BC on Vancouver Island. Local applications preferred.
