I rebuilt it a year ago (cleaned and a new kit) and went to install it on my factory original C3 vette. Pulled off the old Rochester only to be reminded the primaries are wide for a reason (the factory spacer on the intake) and the mounting holes are to close for a Holley to fit. Ok, I can live with that. So on goes a spacer only to find out the low profile factory air cleaner won’t fit the Holley. Ok, so on goes an air cleaner spacer only to realize now the air intake plenums don’t line up or reach the air cleaner openings. Don’t even start me on how now the hood won’t close. Moral of the story is I now truly understand the expression “ya can’t but experience but it sure is expensive.” (Insert laugh here).
